Q: What is the relationship between a View and a Subsystem?

A: A system model View («view») defines a projection on a Model from the perspective (Viewpoint «viewpoint») of a set of stakeholders, whereas a Subsystem decomposes a Model or a View to reflect the logical or physical structure of the system of interest. So the former is a projection, whereas the latter is a decomposition.

Note that the two constructs are complementary. For example, in the same Model one might decompose the System Analysis «view» into logical Subystems and also decompose the System Design «view» into physical Subsystems.
